How to Use Rubik Variant Images with Instant Page Builder

Instant Page Builder works seamlessly with Rubik Variant Images as long as product images are displayed using a repeater. Without a repeater, Instant will only show a single image or a limited set of images, and Rubik will not be able to update your gallery based on the selected variant.

Below is the correct setup.

1. Install and Configure Rubik Variant Images

Install the app from the Shopify App Store and assign variant images as needed. Select "Instant Page Builder" as your theme/page builder on "Activated Themes" section and enable it on your theme.

2. Add an Image Gallery or Image Element in Instant

In your Instant product template:

• Add an Image Gallery

or

• Add an Image Element

This is where Rubik will display variant images.

3. Enable the Repeater

Inside Instant:

1. Click on the gallery or image element
2. Select a slide or image
3. Turn on Repeat
4. Set it to Repeat on product images

⚠️ Important

Using a repeater is mandatory. If you add images manually, Instant will not allow Rubik to display all variant images correctly.

4. Remove the Repeat Limit

Make sure no repeat limit is set for the repeater. This allows Rubik to display all images assigned to a variant, no matter how many you have.

Why Repeaters Are Required

Instant displays images statically unless a repeater is used. Rubik needs a dynamic image container so it can inject the correct set of variant images.

With a repeater:

• Every variant image appears correctly
• Galleries update instantly when a swatch or variant is selected
• You can display unlimited images per variant

Rubik is natively compatible with Instant. Once a repeater is enabled, no additional coding, scripts, or settings are required.
