Hide Unavailable / Sold Out Variant Options
This section includes all visibility rules for deleted or sold-out variant options.
Rubik can automatically hide any variant option that customers should not see, including deleted variants and out-of-stock variants.
- Hide unavailable (deleted) variants – pills / dropdowns
Hides text-based options (Size, Length, etc.) when their corresponding variant is deleted in Shopify.
- Hide unavailable (deleted) variants – image
Hides image swatches whose variants were deleted.
- Hide sold out variants – pills / dropdowns
Hides non-image options if the linked variant is sold out.
- Hide sold out variants – image
Hides color/image swatches for sold out variants.
When to enable these options
- You deleted variants in Shopify and want a clean picker
- Many variants are sold out and should not be selectable
- You want to prevent customer confusion
- You want a cleaner, more accurate product page
When to keep them disabled
- You prefer showing all options, including sold-out ones
- Your theme uses “Sold Out” labels and you want to keep them visible
